Effective Date: October 3, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information KZ Media LLC ("KZ Media," "we," "us," or "our") collects when you use the natt mobile application and related websites (together, the "App"), how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. natt is designed around anonymity: your real name is never shown next to your posts. Please read this Policy together with our Terms of Service.
Account information. When you sign in with Apple, we receive an email address (which may be a private relay address that you control) and, if you choose to share it, a name. During onboarding we collect your birth year (to confirm you meet our age requirement), your school, and, optionally, your gender. If you add a first name and last name in the App, we store those so they can be shown in the crush and Flames features described below.
Content you create. Posts ("natts"), replies, polls and poll votes, question-of-the-day submissions and answers, reactions, stickers, squad posts, and chat messages you exchange with a mutual crush match.
Crush and Flames activity. Who you tag as a crush, who you skip, who you are shown, your viewing preference, your Flames votes, and any first-letter hints you purchase. Other users cannot see who you tagged or voted for unless a feature is designed to reveal it (for example, a mutual crush match, or a first-letter hint). Our team can see this information for safety, support, and operations.
Purchases. If you buy Natt+ or tokens, Apple processes the payment. We receive confirmation of the purchase, the product, and subscription status from Apple and RevenueCat. We never see your card number.
Device and usage information. A push notification token for your device (if you enable notifications), app version, and usage analytics such as when the App is opened and which features are used. We use analytics to understand and improve the App, not to build advertising profiles.
Safety and moderation information. Reports you submit, blocks, moderation records (such as content removals, strikes, mutes, and bans), and, if content suggests someone may be at risk of harming themselves, a limited safety flag so a human can review and respond. Our team may review content in any part of the App, including private squads and crush chats, to enforce our rules and keep users safe.
Your posts, replies, answers, votes, and reactions are shown under an anonymous ghost name and avatar, never your real name. Your first name (and your last initial, or your full last name where two people at your school share a first name and initial) appears only in crush-related features and on the Flames board, and is never connected to your anonymous posts. We designed the App so other users cannot link your ghost identity to your real name. Our team can.
Some content in the App is created by our team. Announcements, contests, example posts, and other content from us may appear under natt-branded or anonymous ghost identities, and we may add reactions or votes to such content to demonstrate features or run promotions.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not show third-party advertising.
We share information with service providers that process it on our behalf under contract:
We may also disclose information: if required by law, subpoena, or court order; to law enforcement where we believe in good faith that someone is at risk of harm or that a crime has occurred, including credible threats, self-harm risk, and exploitation of minors; to enforce our Terms; and as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case this Policy will continue to apply to your information.
Posts. Posts leave the main feed after 24 hours (top posts of the week can stay visible for up to seven days). After leaving the feed, posts and their reactions and replies are retained in our systems for up to 90 days so we can investigate reports, respond to legal requests, and keep users safe, and are then automatically deleted.
Everything else. Your profile, chat messages, crush and Flames activity, token balance, and purchase records are retained while your account is active. Safety and moderation records may be kept after deletion of the related content or account where needed to enforce bans, respond to legal process, or protect users.
Account deletion. If you delete your account, your profile, posts, replies, reactions, chats, crush activity, and related records are deleted from our active systems promptly. Residual copies in backups are overwritten within a reasonable period, and limited records may be retained as described above.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws. We will honor those rights where they apply and will not discriminate against you for exercising them.
natt is intended for users 18 years of age and older and is rated accordingly in the App Store. We ask for your birth year at sign-up and do not allow accounts to be created by anyone who indicates they are under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18, we will terminate the account and delete the associated personal information. If you believe someone under 18 is using the App, please contact us at the address below.
We never knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and the App is not directed to children.
We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit, row-level access controls on our database, server-side verification for sensitive operations, and restricted team access to personal information. No system is perfectly secure, so please use good judgment about what you share. If we become aware of a breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by law.
We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information such as health, religious, or precise location data. Some content you choose to share may incidentally reveal such information; we process it only to operate the App and keep it safe.
We are based in Massachusetts, United States, and our service providers store and process information in the United States. By using the App you understand that your information will be processed in the United States.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and notify you in the App before the changes take effect. Continued use of the App after changes take effect means you accept the updated Policy.
